Getting Started

The CRC Mobile App is CRC Credit Bureau Limited's official mobile platform that gives you secure, on-the-go access to your credit information. You can check your credit report, monitor your credit score, dispute inaccurate entries, and stay informed about changes to your credit profile, all from your smartphone.

The app is available to all individuals whose credit information is held within CRC's database, including employees, business owners, loan applicants, and anyone who has previously accessed credit from a financial institution in Nigeria. You do not need to be a lender or institution to use it.

The app is available for free download on the Google Play Store for Android devices and the Apple App Store for iOS devices. Simply search for "CRC Mobile" and download the official app.

Downloading and registering on the app is free. Certain premium features, such as full credit report downloads or enhanced monitoring alerts, may attract a service fee. All applicable charges are clearly displayed before you proceed with any transaction.

Registration & Login

Download the app, tap "Sign Up," and follow the on-screen prompts. You will need to provide your full name, a valid phone number, your BVN, and a government-issued ID for identity verification. Once verified, you can set up your login credentials and access your credit profile immediately.

You will need a valid phone number, your Bank Verification Number (BVN), and a valid means of identification such as a national ID card, driver's licence, voter's card, or international passport.

Yes. Once you have registered and set up your account, you can enable fingerprint or facial recognition for faster, more secure login. You may also choose to log in with a PIN of your choice.

Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen and follow the prompts. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the phone number registered on your account to verify your identity, after which you can reset your password.

OTPs are sent to the phone number/email you registered on the app. If you are not receiving it, please confirm that the number is active or check your spam box in your email, also check you have network coverage. If you have changed your phone number/email, please update through the app settings or contact our support team.

Credit Reports & Score

Your credit report shows your full credit history as held by CRC, including all credit facilities you have taken with participating lenders, your repayment performance, outstanding balances, loan enquiries, and any adverse entries such as defaults or non-performing loans.

Your credit report is updated regularly as participating financial institutions submit data to CRC. Most updates occur monthly, though the frequency may vary by institution.

Your credit score is a numerical summary of your creditworthiness, derived from your credit history. A higher score indicates lower credit risk and generally makes it easier for you to access credit at better terms. The app displays your score alongside a clear explanation of the factors influencing it.

Yes. Checking your own credit score on the CRC Mobile App is a "soft enquiry" and does not affect your credit score in any way. You are encouraged to check regularly to stay informed.

Your score is influenced by several factors including your repayment history, the number of active credit facilities, how recently you have applied for credit, and the length of your credit history. The app provides a breakdown of the key factors affecting your score so you can take informed steps to improve it.

Disputes & Corrections

If you identify information on your report that you believe is inaccurate, outdated, or fraudulently recorded, you can raise a dispute directly through the app. Navigate to the menu bar, tap "Help & Support," and follow the prompts to submit your query with supporting documentation.

CRC is required to investigate and respond to disputes within 14 working days.

Accurate information, including defaults and non-performing loan entries, cannot be removed from your credit report. However, once you settle an outstanding obligation, your report will be updated to reflect the settlement, which positively impacts your credit profile over time.

Alerts & Monitoring

Yes. You can enable real-time credit monitoring alerts so that you are notified whenever there is a new enquiry on your profile, a new credit entry is added, or your credit score changes significantly. This helps you stay in control and detect any unauthorised activity early.

Contact CRC's support team immediately through the app or via our official channels. An unauthorised enquiry could be a sign of identity fraud and should be investigated promptly.

Security & Privacy

Yes. The CRC Mobile App uses industry-standard encryption and multi-factor authentication to protect your personal and credit information. CRC is regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria and fully compliant with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission's requirements on data handling and cross-border data transfers.

No. CRC does not share your personal information with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law or as part of the regulated credit reporting process. You can review our Privacy Policy in full within the app.

Change your password immediately through the app settings and contact CRC's support team. You can also temporarily lock your account from within the app while the matter is being investigated.
